Ben Update - October 2005

Ben is 10 months old. The development he's going through is incredible. Carolyn and I hadn't seen him for a month and we saw changes in his looks, abilities, and personality.



In just one month he has become so much more mobile. He is in constant motion. He crawls with ease and speed!



He hasn't taken many steps yet, but it is clear that walking is in his near future. He pulls himself up on the furniture whenever he can.





He has become very verbal. His vocabulary is increasing by the day. First it was "da-da," then "ma-ma." He then added "hi" and "bird." Can "grandpa" be far away?

He'll probably be be in third grade before he can say, "Grandpa Steinkamp or Grandpa Lawlyes."



Ben is a very happy boy. He's easy to smile and giggle. He enjoys the company of lots of people. But we saw for the first time a little shyness that we hadn't seen before.

The future is a wonderful thing. We have a lot to discover about this beautiful boy. We all look forward to it.
